The Botswana Institute for Development Policy Analysis, (BIDPA) in collaboration with the National Agricultural Research and Development Institute, (NARDI) have launched a partnership and signing a Memorandum of Understanding.

Through this partnership, the institutions will collaborate in various activities which include joint research proposals to bid for national, sub-regional, regional, and international projects, sharing of expertise and resources, seminars or conferences, and any other research projects of mutual interest. The themes of cooperation and collaboration would relate to climate responses, climate finance, a just transition to a low-emission economy as well as climate-resilient development path.

By pooling their resources together, the two think tanks are looking forward to seeing the positive impact of this strategic partnership that will ensure national developmental goals become a reality in line with Botswana’s Vision 2036 (Pillar 1, Sustainable Economic Development) which envisions Botswana as a Knowledge Based Economy by 2036.
