The Botswana Institute for Development Policy Analysis, (BIDPA) and the Botswana National Productivity Centre, (BNPC) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding to guide and enhance their research and collaborative efforts. The two institutions play a crucial role in the development of the country especially in terms of research, policy analysis and stimulating productivity awareness.

During the signing ceremony, the leaders of the two entities underscored the importance of research in informing policy and decision making.

Under this agreement, the two institutions will collaborate on a number of areas including (but not limited to) the following:

(i) Undertaking joint policy research/and or evaluations on areas of mutual interest and joint publication
(ii) Holding joint technical and/or policy workshops to disseminate research and/or evaluations findings
(iii) Joint sourcing of grants through writing and submission of joint proposals or as applicable
(iv) Sharing publications and best practice
(v) Joint monitoring and evaluation of projects
